Government Status: Recognition from the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges

Renaissance Christian University (RCU) is a privately-owned corporation located in the state of Florida. As an educational institution, RCU is legally authorized by the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities (SBICU) to grant degrees and continues as a registered degree-granting institution with the Florida Department of Education Commission for Independent Education.

It is important to note that RCU does not make any claims, whether implied or otherwise, that our educational programs, courses, or curricula are identical to those offered by secular state colleges and universities. Instead, we embrace our distinctive approach by focusing on the development of courses and degree programs that align with our deeply held Biblical convictions and beliefs. Our primary objective is to provide education that caters to individuals pursuing Christian service and vocation

RCU maintains a separation from the State of Florida and the U.S. Department of Education, and we are not affiliated with either entity. This separation allows us to safeguard our religious prerogatives and preserve our freedom to create courses and design degree programs in accordance with our core religious values.
At Renaissance Christian University, we take pride in our commitment to religious education, offering programs that integrate faith, knowledge, and practical skills for Christian service. Our degrees and credits are specifically tailored to empower individuals engaged in various aspects of Christian ministry.
Accreditation:

In the realm of higher education, accreditation plays a crucial role in ensuring quality and standardization. While there are approximately 40 accrediting organizations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the requirements for joining these organizations can be challenging for smaller or midrange Bible colleges and seminaries. These requirements often revolve around capital, real estate, library resources, and income sources.

At Renaissance Christian University (RCU), our primary objective is to make Christian education affordable and accessible to students seeking a faith-based academic experience. Recognizing the challenges faced by smaller institutions, we have chosen to pursue accreditation through the Christian College Accreditation Commission International (CCACI) at http://ccaci.org. It is important to note that CCACI has not sought recognition from the United States Department of Education. However, this decision is in no way a reflection of CCACI's legal status or the quality of education offered by the institutions it represents.

CCACI is an international accrediting commission that currently represents over 20 institutions across four countries. RCU has deliberately elected CCACI as its accrediting agency to maintain independence from any federal, state, or private agency that may restrict religious freedom within our curriculum and student body. By making this choice, we can ensure that our institution's values and faith-based principles remain at the forefront of our educational offerings.

It is important to note that while RCU is proudly accredited by CCACI, we cannot guarantee the acceptance of RCU credits by other institutions. The transferability of credits from RCU to other educational institutions is solely at the discretion and desire of the institution where the student is applying. We encourage students to inquire about credit transfer policies in advance of enrollment to any institution they plan to transfer to in the future.

At RCU, we remain committed to providing an enriching and inclusive Christian education that empowers our students to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally. Our accreditation choice reflects our dedication to preserving religious freedom while ensuring affordable access to quality education.
Join us at Renaissance Christian University as we embark on a transformative journey of faith, knowledge, and personal growth. Together, we can shape a brighter future for individuals seeking a faith-driven educational experience.
